TPFanControl: allows you to monitor the temperature of the different system components in Windows, and specify the fan speed, or let TPFanControl decide–highly recommended, because the Thinkpad Power Manager does not regulate the fan speed properly–especially when we have a discrete graphics accelerator, like the ATI FireGL of my W500–which causes the system to go to sleep or suddenly shut down when it overheats (when it reaches more than 90º).

Swap Fn and Control: Modified BIOS firmware to swap Function and Control keys. The system will reboot several times during the “flashing,” this is normal. Even so, not recommended if you have heart problems.
